Wainkum Terms of Service

1. Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

Wainkum ("Wainkum", "we", "us") is a social map app that lets you check in at places, see where your friends are, chat, and discover events around you. By creating an account or using Wainkum, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Wainkum.

2. Who can use Wainkum

You must be at least 16 years old to use Wainkum. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide (including your date of birth) is accurate. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will remove it.

3. Your account

You sign in with your mobile phone number, verified by SMS. You are responsible for keeping your device and number secure — anyone with access to your verified number can access your account. One account per person; Wainkum allows your account to be active on one device at a time. You agree not to create accounts for others, impersonate anyone, or sell or transfer your account.

4. The service — location and presence

Wainkum is built around voluntary check-ins: you choose when to check in at a place, and you control who can see you through your visibility settings (Everyone or Friends only) and per-friend location hiding. While you are checked in, the app may use your device's location in the background solely to detect that you have left a place and check you out automatically. Location data shown in Wainkum (including "people nearby" and friends' pins) is approximate and depends on device GPS — we do not guarantee its accuracy, and you should never rely on it for safety-critical decisions.

5. Your content and your conduct

You keep ownership of what you post (photos, messages, event details, profile information). By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host and display that content inside Wainkum so the service can work.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Wainkum. You agree not to post or send content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes anyone's rights or privacy; not to stalk, harass, or track other users; not to spam; and not to interfere with or reverse-engineer the service. We provide blocking and reporting tools in the app, we review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, and we may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that break these rules — with or without notice.

6. Meeting people, and events

Wainkum helps people discover places, events, and each other. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including if you choose to meet in person. Use common sense: meet in public places and tell someone where you're going. Events listed on Wainkum are organised by users or venues, not by us — we are not responsible for what happens at them.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, who can see it, and how to delete it. Your privacy controls (visibility modes, per-friend hiding, blocking) are described in the app and in that policy.

8. Ending your use of Wainkum

You can sign out at any time, and you can permanently delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile, check-ins, messages, friendships and related data from the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

9. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

Wainkum is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for the conduct of other users, for events you attend, or for inaccuracies in location data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Wainkum evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and ask you to review them; continuing to use Wainkum after that means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuwait, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
